There are many ways of resizing rows in Microsoft Excel, we run through just a few of the easiest in this quick tutorial.
To resize a row simply drag the rows bottom border down to make the row as high as you like. Alternatively you can double click on the bottom border, this will resize the height of the row so that it includes all of the data in that row.
To resize a column you can either drag the right-hand border to make the column as wide as you want or you can double click on the right-hand border to let Excel automatically resize your column to fit in all of the data.

Sorting data in Microsoft Excel is simple. There are several ways of sorting data so we’ve put together this short tutorial to help you.
To sort one column in ascending/descending order. Highlight the column you’d like to sort by and press the ascending
or descending
button from the data menu (see the picture below).

The other option is to sort data by several rows for example, date then customer’s first name. To sort your data in this way you should highlight the data you wish to sort and press the sort button
this then lets you choose your sorting preferences (see the picture below).

Windows Server 2008 R2 was shown off at the PDC (Professional Developers Conference) in LA. The first major change is that R2 brings is it’s the first 64-bit only Windows platform. There are also improvements to Windows Servers core pillars. Virtualisation has come on and has a great Live Migration feature which allows physical host migrations of virtual machines in little time. Streamlined management has also been enhanced with better user interfaces, an active directory domain service management console and enhanced group policy. Web server has better PowerShell management support and now has support for technologies including SilverLight and PHP. Another huge addition in R2 is DirectAccess which allows remote computing to become even more invisible to users. DA will allow users to connect to any network and see their network resources securely and without the need for VPN.

Windows 7 was finally unveiled last week at the Professional Developers Conference (PDC). Although Windows 7 looks visually like Windows Vista, it does have some fairly major changes under its hood. The first major change is that Windows 7 will come with fewer applications installed by default, this will allow Microsoft to release updates to programs at regular periods without having to tie each application to each operating system.
In Windows 7 applications will come in three bundles: Windows 7 Core, Windows Live Essentials and Windows Live Services. Windows Live Essentials includes a security centre, email, messenger, movie maker, photo gallery, toolbar and writer. Windows Live Services will allow third-party services/applications to be run on Windows 7.

Many people are frustrated by the way Microsoft Outlook remains in your taskbar (the list of open applications at the bottom of the screen) and doesn’t minimise by default to the system tray (on the right-hand side of the taskbar). It is simple however to fix this irritating issue.
1. Open Microsoft Outlook and right-click on the system tray icon.

2. Select the “Hide When Minimized” option.
You should now notice Microsoft Outlook disappears from the taskbar but remains in the system tray. This means that you can open Microsoft Outlook whenever you want throughout the day without it getting in the way.
